GUSTO LIVERPOOL REVIEW
Myself and a few friends recently visited Gusto, Liverpool. We were invited to go following my review of a very poor experience we had back in March celebrating my birthday. I won’t go into detail about that visit here but you can see the review I did at the time on TripAdvisor.
When the invitation was issued management asked me post another honest review once we’d been, so here goes…
This time we visited for lunch. We were interested to see if the service was any different during the day. Upon arrival we were seated quickly and whilst it took over 15 minutes to take a drinks order, the food as always was tasty and hot.
But unfortunately our overall experience was just average. The atmosphere was most certainly calmer and nothing was missing from our order this time but there weren’t any elements that really impressed us. Given that the management were so keen to have us back I’d have thought someone may have visited our table to enquire about our experience. But they didn’t. And whilst this hasn’t influenced my ‘average’ review I think it’s good practice to enquire about someone’s visit, especially when they’ve invited you.
It’s in a great location and serves up some really delicious cocktails so if you’re looking for somewhere convenient for dinner after work or lunch of a weekend I would recommend it. Be cautious though, it can get extremely busy of an evening, especially at the weekend and from past experiences this impacts on the service massively.
