Winter has most certainly arrived. It starts getting dark just after lunch and if you believe all the news we should be preparing for the next ice age…
But it’s not all doom and gloom, the good news is that it’s time for winter coats, cosy nights, delicious food and gifting.
With that said, here are some of my must have Winter essentials.
For me, most mornings begin with shaving. It used to be a costly regime, constantly buying overpriced razor blades, continually searching for the best post shave balm and investing in numerous pre-shave scrubs. That was until I discovered Cornerstone, a British based shaving company. They offer flexible and regular deliveries of shaving supplies so you have everything you need for a great shave. Not only do Cornerstone match a delivery schedule to suit your shaving frequency their supplies are really reasonably priced and are great quality too! Using Cornerstone means I never run out of supplies and have everything I need to ‘start the day right’.
A good skincare routine is essential during this cold season. Skin is exposed to harsh temperatures which can often damage your skin. Cornerstone’s products work perfectly at preparing and preserving your skin for Winter.
This season is set to be cold and if you live in the UK it’ll most likely be wet too. So it’s important that you have the right footwear. After all, the last thing you want is to get cold, wet feet on a Winter Walk.
I recently featured these leather boots from Next in a blog post, I can’t get enough of them. They keep me so warm and they are incredibly comfortable, perfect for Winter. They are a little pricey at £80 but are totally worth it.
Those of you that know me will know that I take the festive season seriously. I have around 10 Christmas jumpers which I wear throughout December, two even have flashing lights. But if you are a more reserved type of person or don’t want to go to great expense but still feel like being festive, why not wear some festive socks which you can flash when someone says ‘are you not feeling Christmassy?’.
A Suitable Scarf
Winter coats are great, but sometimes you need that extra bit of covering around your neck. Make sure you invest in a good winter scarf that’ll protect you from all elements. Hammond & Co by Patrick Grant have some great options and are available at Debenhams from £25.
Do you have any essentials? What can’t you go without? I’d love to know.
